That's Great Kale... Is That Worth The Extra $$$???

If you have already played the game and you'd like to skip over a lot of the hassle early game, the resources are extremely helpful. The events will return so if you'd like the items you may have missed by just now jumping into the game you get all of them upfront without having to wait for the events to come back, but they will come back. Friendship & Island Bouquts are massive to have in that large quantity, however, if you are jumping in now during Steam launch week they are giving out a couple here and there to help with your grind so you definitely don't need 10 of each to get started and level up faster. 

It all comes down to how you feel about the early game grind. If you want to skip it and get into the nitty gritty of the game in your first week of playing go for it, but if you want to chill and play it as it was intended I recommend the standard version. As someone who loves the grind but is used to the ability in Animal Crossing to time travel it was hard for me at first but its a unique position I'm in and I'm all here for a challenge! 

I did end up getting the Deluxe version update via Steam later in game. I found that the visitors coming around, especially w/in your first year of playing I needed furniture/items I did not have access to via previous events. If you'd like to speed run a wee bit or ensure you can host guests when they are traveling this is another great option if you are on PC!
